What we do

Assessment and Diagnosis

Psychological assessment is a process that involves meeting with a psychologist as well as completing validated and reliable measures like paper and pencil questionnaires and/or the completion of puzzle like tasks and activities. The assessment process helps identify areas of strength and difficulty and any underlying diagnosis. The outcome is a better understanding of your child’s individual needs allowing for targeted and meaningful recommendations.

Cognitive Assessment:

Assists in determining cognitive capacity by identifying thinking and learning potential, and areas of cognitive strengths and weaknesses.

Educational Assessment:

Measures academic ability in a range of areas. We highlight academic strengths and weaknesses, areas for targeted support, and can assist in determining underlying learning disorders.

Developmental Assessment:

Identifies strengths and challenges in a range of developmental domains including cognitive, social, emotional, language, physical development and adaptive behaviours such as self-care and self-direction.

Behaviour, Social, and Emotional Assessment (including ADHD):

Examines potential concerns in regard to, for example, hyperactivity, impulsivity, aggression, sustaining attention, depression, or anxiety.

Autism Assessment:

Evaluates a child against Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnostic criteria including areas of communication, socialisation, restricted or repetitive behaviours, interests or activities and sensory sensitivities.

Psychological Therapy

We offer a range of evidenced-based psychological treatment modalities tailoring treatment to meet your unique needs.
