Assessment and Diagnosis
We provide a comprehensive approach to assessment and diagnosis for children, young people, and adults. Our aim is to help you and/or your child feel seen, heard, and understood and therefore supported to reach their/your individual potential.
When you enquire about an assessment, you will receive our comprehensive Service Agreement and Intake form. This form assists you to understand our assessment process and provide detailed information to us about what you may be needing. Following this, appointments will be scheduled and you will receive detailed information about your booking and payment information. If you are unsure of what your assessment needs may be, you can indicate this on the intake form. In this assistance, you will then receive an invitation to schedule a 15 minute complimentary phone call with a member of the clinical team to assist in determining what might be your next best steps.
The assessment process will include meeting with you and your child as well as administration of evidence based questionnaires and standardised tests. Some assessments require one appointment, others more. Your psychologist will also liaise with your child’s school and/or other key people in your child’s world. Your psychologist will then collate all of the information obtained, analyse results, and compile a detailed psychological report.
The results of the assessment will be explained to you in a feedback meeting. You will receive a written and electronic copy of the report that includes tailored, meaningful, and practical recommendations to support your child at home and school.
